Food isn’t the only thing that we need to survive – hygiene is a huge part of our lives, and one that many of us take for granted. Hygiene poverty means going without the everyday toiletries we all use on a daily bases; it heaps shame on those experiencing it, robs confidence, and makes day-to-day life an ordeal. Bare Necessities are a registered charity in England & Wales that are hoping to make a huge impact on hygiene poverty in Wilmslow – they aim to support our local community by collecting unused, unopened, everyday toiletries and donating them to women’s charities, food banks, youth and school groups, homeless people, and many more groups who are in need. If you are interested in finding your nearest collection box, please check out their website www.bntoiletrybank.org or find them on social media.
