Top 10 things you can do at Wilmslow Comic Con
- Meet the Daleks 🤖
This is a proper headline moment from Doctor Who. Seeing the Daleks up close in a town centre setting is something you will remember and it is one of the best photo opportunities of the day. We have 3 Daleks, The Tardis, K9 and a full size Cyberman. If you are coming with kids, expect big reactions, if you are coming with friends, expect your camera roll to fill up fast, but we promise no ‘exterminating’.
- Get your photo with superheroes 🦸
Keep your eyes open for Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman and Captain America, they are all doing 5 x 30-minute walkabouts during the day. These quick, fun interactions are what give Wilmslow Comic Con its ‘alive’ feel, because you keep turning a corner and finding a new character moment. You can get your photo taken with them all for free.
- Spot the Transformers, including Optimus Prime and Bumblebee 🚗
Whether you are a lifelong fan or want a brilliant free photo, this is one of those ‘you must see it’ moments. The Transformers appearances always draw a crowd and they add that big, festival style energy to the town centre. You won’t miss Megatron, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
- See the Star Wars X Wing ⭐
This is a great one for families and Star Wars fans to see the X wing fighter up close. You can also take a photo with R2D2, have a proper look and enjoy the fact that Wilmslow is hosting something you would normally associate with a much bigger venue. Will you spot Chewbacca?

- Dive into the Comic Con market for comics and graphic novels 📚
The market is one of the best parts of the day because it turns into a treasure hunt. Expect a mix of comics, books and graphic novels, from well-known classics to new finds you did not know existed. If you are returning to comics after years away, you will get that nostalgia hit fast. If you are already a fan, you will love browsing and chatting with traders.
- Hunt for collectibles and merch across big fandoms 🎁
This is where the market gets exciting. Alongside comics, you can expect toys, games and collectibles connected to big fandoms like Marvel and DC, plus Pokémon, My Little Pony and Star Trek. Some people come with a mission, others browse until something makes them grin, both approaches work.
- Pick up something unique from traders, prints and gift items 🖼️
It is not just about the big names. The best Comic Con finds are often the unexpected ones, a print you want on your wall, a small collectible that becomes your souvenir of the day, or a gift for someone who is hard to buy for. If you like supporting small traders, this is your moment.
- Try the free superhero workshop 🦸♀️
This is a brilliant way to break up the day, especially for families. It adds an interactive element that is not just “walking and browsing” and it gives younger visitors something hands on to do. If you are planning your day, you can use the workshop as a natural “pause point” before food. You don’t need to bring your cape!
- Come in costume, or keep it simple and still join in 👕
You do not need full cosplay to feel part of it. Some people go all in, others just wear a themed tee, a mask, a cape, or a simple accessory. The vibe is inclusive and the more people lean into it even slightly, the more fun the whole town feels.
- Comic Con Sticker Map 🗺️🎟️
Don’t forget to download a Comic Con sticker map HERE and play along as you explore, there are five zones to visit, and you can collect a sticker from each one and fill in your map as you go.
Zone 1 is Dr Who and the Daleks
Zone 2 is the Trader Market plus the Superhero Workshop
Zone 3 is Transformers
Zone 4 is Superheroes
Zone 5 is Star Wars, X Wing
No prizes, just a bit of fun while you’re out and about, and in the spirit of Pokémon, can you catch “stick” them all?
