Bare Necessities, Charity Partner for Wilmslow Running Festival, Encourage Fun Runners
Donate Toiletries, Run For Fun & Win Prizes
The Charity Partner for this year’s festival, Bare Necessities Toiletry Bank, is encouraging all Fun Runners to take part and win. To scoop a £50 voucher to spend at Running Bear all the fun runners need to do is enter the fun run online or on the day, bring a toiletry donation to the Bare Necessities stand and enter the “Guess the number of Mini toiletries” competition.
Bare Necessities Trustee, Abigail Gill said “We were thrilled to be asked to become the charity partner for this year’s festival. We have 25 runners, including myself, doing either the 10k or Half all raising much needed funds for our Wilmslow based charity. We are hoping to extend the conversation around hygiene poverty to our friendly and supportive community of runners and their supporters.”
If you are already running the 10k or half, are a supporter of the festival or just want something active to do, bring along your kids to take part in the Fun Run. The 2.5km course takes you along country lanes which are closed to traffic. The start and finish are the same locations as Half and 10k races and it starts immediately after the main race competitors have departed. All Fun Run participants will receive a medal, a chocolate bar and a juice drink. Plus the first 3 runners will win a Running Bear teddy.
Even if you don’t want to “fun run” you can still enter the Guess the Mini Competition and be in with a chance of winning £50 Running Bear voucher. Just bring a Toiletry for our donation box, we need all full-size, everyday toiletries, feminine hygiene products, dental and baby products as well as hotel and beauty miniatures. The only proviso is that they must be unopened and unused. Or you can donate money to enter.

Bare Necessities is a grassroots charity, founded in February 2018, after hygiene poverty was headlining. to collect and distribute toiletries within the local community. It is a registered charity in England and Wales number 1193427.
We encourage local people to donate toiletries and hygiene essentials at our donation points and local businesses to host our donation boxes, either on an ongoing basis or for a short corporate toiletry drive. Bare Necessities Toiletry Bank needs all full-size, everyday toiletries, feminine hygiene
products, dental and baby products as well as hotel and beauty miniatures. The only proviso is that they must be unopened and unused.
Bare Necessities Toiletry bank supports 35 local charities and organisations. To reach out to as many people as possible we work with existing organisations and charities whose clients are suffering financial hardship or poverty. This way in helping a few, we help many.
