The Guild for Lifelong Learning is a registered charity based in Wilmslow that promotes the advancement of education in the heart of the community by delivering high-quality lifelong learning courses, social activities, commercial training and accredited courses such as Emergency First Aid at Work and Mental Health in the Workplace. We provide friendly and enjoyable learning opportunities with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of the community, encouraging active citizenship and reducing social isolation. Provisions are made for involvement of adults with a variety of disabilities, from mobility and sensory issues to learning difficulties; the Guild has full ground level access, ramps and stair lift to access the classrooms, a fully accessible toilet, and designated parking spaces front and rear; the recent adoption of Google Classroom allows for delivery of courses and club sessions to students in their own homes. Our community café is a social hub, art space and a training environment for adults with learning disabilities. We are open for freshly prepared hot meals from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
