Wilmslow and District Amateur Swimming Club (also known as Wilmslow Scorpions) is a successful, competitive club that promotes community participation in the sport of swimming. Their main focus is on competitive swimming but they accommodate all ages and abilities and welcome everyone with an interest in the sport where spaces allow. They are a SwimMark accredited Club. The club is divided into four sections, PreSquad, Junior Squad, Intermediate Squad and Senior Squad, for children who are at stage 7 or above. They cater mainly for swimmers who are older primary, secondary and sixth form age with a small student membership. They train in a 25 meter pool based at Wilmslow Leisure Centre, 3 days a week, and have done so since the leisure centre opened in 1980!
