Wilmslow Town Rangers

Wilmslow Town Council has appointed two full-time Town Rangers to help improve and maintain the town’s public spaces, expanding the on-the-ground team alongside the existing Town Handyman who works one day per week.

The Rangers will be able to take on practical, visible jobs across the town including hedge trimming, street cleaning, strimming, grass cutting, path clearance, tree pruning, weed control, graffiti removal, painting and washing street and road signs, landscape management, and street furniture maintenance.

To make it easier for residents to report issues and request works, the Town Council has launched a Town Ranger Request Form on its website at https://www.wilmslowtowncouncil.gov.uk/rangerrequest/.

It is important to note the Rangers can only undertake work on public land, so requests relating to private land cannot be actioned.  For issues such as potholes, street lighting faults, highway obstructions, and tree maintenance on the public highway, these remain the responsibility of Cheshire East Council and should be reported via the Cheshire East traCE reporting service.
