🎄 Wilmslow Christmas Lights Switch-On 2025 🎄
Get ready, Wilmslow the most magical day of the year is almost here!
The Wilmslow Christmas Lights Switch-On takes place on Saturday 15th November, promising a full day of festive fun, live entertainment, and community spirit to kick off the holiday season in style.
The celebrations begin early, with Christmas Markets opening on Alderley Road from 10am, packed with local traders, festive food and perfect gift ideas. From 12pm to 3.30pm, families can enjoy free lantern-making crafts on Hawthorn Lane, the perfect creative activity for little ones before the evening festivities.
The main stage at Bank Square will come alive from 1.40pm with a line-up of brilliant local performers, including Stagecoach, Rock Choir, DATS, TEMPO, Wilmslow High School Band, Wilmslow High School Choir, Pownall Hall School Choir,and Wilmslow Academy Primary School Choir.
Then, as daylight fades, the town will gather for the highlight of the day,the big Christmas countdown and lights switch-on at around 5pm. Expect an appearance from Father Christmas, the Grinch, and Cindy Lou Who, who will all join the crowd for the magical moment the lights sparkle into life.

Please note, there will be no Reindeer Parade this year due to current government restrictions on the cross-border movement of animals affected by the ongoing Blue Tongue Virus outbreak.
