☕ Wilmslow Coffee Morning Raises £1,200 for Stand Up To Cancer

A warm-hearted morning of coffee, cake and community spirit has helped raise an incredible £1,200 for Stand Up To Cancer, thanks to the efforts of Angela and her team at the Hawthorn Lane Cancer Research Charity Shop and the amazing support of Wilmslow’s local businesses.

Hosted at Suburban Green, the event brought together local residents and shop owners for a cheerful morning filled with chat, laughter and of course, plenty of delicious treats. Guests enjoyed freshly brewed coffee, homemade cakes and the chance to catch up with familiar faces, all while raising funds for a cause close to many hearts.

Angela shared her gratitude, saying, “A huge thank you to all the local businesses and customers who supported our Coffee & Cake morning. It was such a lovely event, and we’re thrilled to have raised £1,200 for SU2C. Roll on next year’s event!”

The event was made possible thanks to the generosity and community spirit of so many Wilmslow businesses, including:

SuburbanGreen, TheWineCellar, MuckyPup, EasternRevive, WoodFireSmoke, Nourish, Boots, BuzzyBakery, DavidAnthony, Barinda, BrookLaneCoffee, VaVaVoom, SweatyBetty, Potyo, Cook, CafeNero, NortonBarry, CafeAzul, CheshireMercantile, FunkyNails, JustBetweenFriends, PurePoshBoutique, M1Nails, EdinburghWoolShop, CafeOnWaterLane, Tropica

The morning was a true reminder of how much Wilmslow’s independent businesses contribute to the heart of the town. Together, they not only raised valuable funds for cancer research but also brought the community closer.

If you missed this year’s event, don’t worry – plans are already brewing for 2026. In the meantime, pop in to see Angela and her team at the Cancer Research UK Shop on Hawthorn Lane – they always love a friendly chat and a visit from supporters.
