Wilmslow Interiors Day: Showcasing the Best of Local Design and Expertise
Wilmslow cemented its reputation as a go-to destination for interiors this weekend, as the town came alive with the first-ever Wilmslow Interiors Day. From stylish sofas to bespoke bathrooms, mood boards to colour talks, visitors discovered that when it comes to kitting out your home, Wilmslow offers everything you could possibly need – all on your doorstep.
The day was about more than just beautiful showrooms. It was about collaboration, community and shining a spotlight on the remarkable level of expertise in Wilmslow.
As Lisa Russett, Wilmslow BID Manager, explained: “One of the best parts of the Interiors Day was seeing so many local businesses come together to collaborate. By showcasing their individual expertise as part of a wider event, we not only drove interest and footfall but also highlighted the incredible depth of interior design talent we have right here in Wilmslow. It’s a brilliant example of how collaboration can raise awareness and shine a light on the diverse skills within our town.”
A Town Full of Inspiration
Throughout the day, visitors explored showrooms, took part in workshops and enjoyed special events designed to inspire every corner of their homes. At Arlo & Jacob, guests enjoyed styling consultations, goody bags and refreshments, while showroom manager Verity shared insights into the trends set to define 2026: “We’re seeing rich, warming tones coming through – blues, gingers and chocolates are the new grey.”
Bathrooms were another focal point of the event, with Quarry Bank Boutique Bathrooms drawing in crowds for their designer-led talks. Director Koralia Hume said: “The Wilmslow Interiors Day has been absolutely fantastic. We gave away over 300 goodie bags and met so many new faces. What stood out most was the enthusiasm from visitors who wanted to learn, ask questions and be inspired – it showed just how strong the appetite is for design-led interiors in Wilmslow.”
Elsewhere, The Home Library, Hoopers, Bang & Olufsen, Sharps, Nolte Kitchens, Stone Stores, Cast, Gascoigne Halman and homebird all played their part in creating a joined-up experience. From fabrics to finishes, flooring to lighting, the event demonstrated the variety and strength of Wilmslow’s interior businesses.
More Than Just Shopping
What really made the day unique was the sense of community. Businesses didn’t simply open their doors – they came together with a shared purpose: to showcase the best of Wilmslow and provide solutions for every element of interior design, from top to bottom.
“The Interiors Day was a resounding success, with so much interest in this year’s focus – mural wallpapers. These designs are perfect for creating a real statement in the home. Whether used on one stand-out wall as a bold feature or applied all over for a stunning wrap-around effect, they bring personality and depth to any space. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm from visitors, and we’re already looking forward to the next event.” – Charlotte, Colour Consultant at Little Greene
Visitors left not only with bags of inspiration, but also with a renewed appreciation that Wilmslow offers everything you need for your home in one place. Whether it’s a simple room refurbishment or a major project such as a new kitchen, bathroom or extension, Wilmslow brings together every supplier you could possibly need – all within walking distance.
“With such a successful debut, Wilmslow Interiors Day has all the makings of a much-anticipated fixture in the local calendar. The event showed that if you’re looking to transform your home, Wilmslow is the place to start – with an incredible community of businesses and experts right on your doorstep.” – Lisa Russett, Wilmslow BID Manager
