Wilmslow Town Council is pleased to confirm Wilmslow’s Remembrance Sunday arrangements as follows:
A Remembrance Sunday Parade will depart from Grove Avenue on 10th November at 9.30am prompt (participants to arrive by 9.15am).
The parade, under the control of Parade Marshal Andy Barrows (Air Cadets), will depart from Grove Avenue and pass down Grove Street before crossing the junction and moving down Church Street (passing Waitrose) and arriving at St Bartholomew’s Church.
All are invited in to St Bartholomew’s Church for the 10am service.
At around 10.45am, the congregation will make their way to the Memorial Gardens where the traditional 11am Remembrance Service will be held, followed by the laying of wreaths and crosses.
For information, there will not be a second parade following the 11am Memorial Garden service.
Wilmslow’s Remembrance Sunday is organised and facilitated by Wilmslow Town Council in conjunction with St Bartholomew’s Church.
Wilmslow Town Council has purchased a further 100 lamp post poppies to support the Royal British Legion and extend the town centre’s Remembrance display this year.
