Bare Necessities Toiletry Bank Delivers 150 Father’s Day Gift Packs to Local Families

Bare Necessities Toiletry Bank has continued its annual Father’s Day campaign by distributing 150 Father’s Day gift packs to foodbanks, schools, and youth groups across the local area.

The campaign aims to support children experiencing hygiene poverty by ensuring they still have the opportunity to celebrate their fathers and father figures on Father’s Day. The gift packs were made possible entirely through public donations and community support.

Hygiene poverty affects families in many ways, often preventing both adults and children from taking part in important moments and celebrations. By providing these gifts, Bare Necessities Toiletry Bank hopes to bring dignity, confidence, and joy to families who may otherwise struggle.

A spokesperson for the charity said:
“Children should be able to make their dad feel special on Father’s Day regardless of financial circumstances. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated products and supported the campaign.”

The charity also highlighted the ongoing shortage of men’s toiletries, with demand remaining high throughout the year. Supporters are encouraged to consider adding an extra toiletry item to their weekly shop and donating it through one of the charity’s collection points.
