Charity Christmas Card and Gift Shop Return for Final Year
The much-loved Charity Christmas Card and Gift Shops will return this festive season, marking their 55th and final year of supporting good causes.
Founded by Sheila Hallas MBE in 1971, the shops have raised more than £6 million for local, national and international charities. Every penny from Christmas card sales goes directly to the participating charities, with volunteers giving their time to run the shops.
More than 30 charities will take part this year, offering a wide selection of Christmas cards. Shoppers will also find wrapping paper, decorations, toys and festive gifts, with proceeds from these additional products helping to cover the shops’ running costs.
Visit the Wilmslow shop
The Wilmslow Charity Christmas Card and Gift Shop will be open at Wilmslow Library from Saturday 31 October until Saturday 5 December 2026, during normal library opening hours.
Shops will also open at:
- Macclesfield Library: 31 October to 5 December
- Knutsford Library: 5 November to 3 December
- Sale Library: 13 to 28 November

Founder Sheila Hallas MBE said the final year would be a celebration of the volunteers, charities, supporters and customers who have made the shops’ success possible.
Lead volunteer Jill Dodson added that customers could also purchase additional cards to continue supporting and maintaining their connection with the charities in future years.
After more than five decades of festive fundraising, this is a final opportunity to visit the shops, choose cards and gifts, and support a wide range of worthwhile causes.
