Wilmslow Town Council has appointed two full-time Town Rangers, dedicated to improving and maintaining Wilmslow’s public spaces.
Working alongside the existing Town Handyman, who works one day per week, the Town Rangers will be able to carry out a wide range of tasks including hedge trimming, street cleaning, strimming, grass cutting, path clearance, tree pruning, weed control, graffiti removal, painting and washing street and road signs, landscape management and street furniture maintenance. The team will review the information provided and schedule the work accordingly. They aim to assess all requests that are within scope within 14 working days and schedule work.

Tasks the Town Rangers can undertake:
On public land: hedge trimming, street cleaning, strimming, grass cutting, path clearance, tree pruning, weed control, graffiti removal, painting and washing street and road signs, landscape management and street furniture maintenance.

Tasks the Town Rangers cannot undertake:
Requests relating to private land.
Potholes, street lighting faults, highway obstructions and tree maintenance: these are the responsibility of Cheshire East Council and can be reported using the button at the bottom of the page.
IMPORTANT
- If the issue requires urgent attention, please report it to Cheshire East Council via their Emergency Control Centre on 0300 123 5025. If there is immediate danger to life, you should call 999.
- If your request falls outside the scope of works listed below (such as hedges growing on private land, tree maintenance, repairing potholes), it will not be actioned.
- Uploading photographs of the issue / problem will help us to action the request – please include photos if possible.
